-
improve your confidence
at speaking in a group
-
practise phrases and structures
that give you the confidence to intervene more frequently and
effectively on those occasions where you feel all eyes are on you
-
introduce different registers
of language so you get to understand, if not actually use everyday
slang and
the kind of phrases that don't necessarily get into the text books
for example by listening to current podcasts
-
provide a convivial atmosphere
and structured framework for trying out your French before hitting
l'Hexagone
We meet on Wednesdays at 7.30pm around a bottle of wine. Each session
is standalone so missing 1 or 2
won't put you 'behind'. You pay just for the sessions you attend,
currently £15 for the session. As the emphasis
is mainly on understanding and speaking up, grammar is kept to a bare
minimum.
Numbers vary from week to week but never exceed the number of chairs
around my table

If you feel your French is or was decent but you also
want to revise grammar from about GCSE level onwards
then the Intermediate Group I'm hoping to set up
might be just what you're looking for.
Possibly to be held on a Monday, Wednesday or Thursday early evening.
Please email me to
express interest and click here for
an idea of what Intermediate sessions would cover.
